The Latin American Motorcycle Association Pocono Chapter has a Veterans Committee. This committee was created to help out disabled veterans in need in our local communities. Helping veterans , in a way to foster individuality , independence, inclusion and productivity in their lives. This could be easily done by constructing, for example, a wheelchair ramp, installing specialized equipment, and simple home improvements.
Donations from each and everyone of you will contribute to a special project that will better the life of a disabled veteran. We had successful projects in 2013 -2014, 2015 and 2016.
LAMA Poconos members volunteered their time to complete this project for the American Legion
Post 927 in Gilbert. LAMA members put in a new wood barrier fence and new lighting for the
Army tank that presents itself in the front of the Legion. Channel 13 came by for an interview.
This project was completed on Friday 5/22/2015
